You can set the preferences by selecting 'Preferences' in the 'Edit' menu. Here you can set the number of digits after the decimal point (0-9) and the display mode (normal, scientific, engineering, factions, or mixed fractions). You can choose to remove trailing zeros when displaying results. These options only affect the way PawCalc displays numbers. All calculations are performed with the full precision. This also applies to the 'ans' variable, which contains the last result with full precision.
You can set the default output format for PawCalc. Possible settings are binary, octal, decimal, or hexadecimal. PawCalc reverts to decimal viewing in case a result cannot be displayed in the desired format.
Furthermore, you can toggle between degrees and radians for trig functions.
Chose the divisor for variance and standard deviation calculations by selecting N-0, N-1, ..., N-5.
At most 14 digits in total are displayed for a result.
The "Hardkeys" checkbox enables or disables the PDA hardkeys. If checked, then you can control PawCalc using the keys on your PDA. If left unchecked, PawCalc ignores the keys.
You can also use the 'View' menu for quick selections.
By selecting 'Memo settings' in the 'Edit' menu, you can change where PawCalc looks to find the initialization memos. The default category is 'PawCalc'. The other default values are 'basic' and 'currency' for the two unit memos, 'science' for constants, 'default' for functions, and 'sample' for layouts.
